THE RAT RACE
You all would be wondering what a rat race is. It is simply a phase in life that over 80% of humans go through from the beginning of their life to the very end. Only those with an intellectual knowledge of thinking about moving forward are not in this phase of life.

when a man is in school studying, his parents would always advice him to read very well, pay attention to his studies,get higher grades so has to see a good paying job with social security and all that.

He tends to listen to his parent and does exactly what they say. He graduates from school with good grades, and he /she may be lucky to see a good job offer

3-WORK WORK WORK
He starts working and getting paid. During this 3rd phase, a normal man will always think he has arrived because he lives comfortably, buy good clothes, think of buying a car and other luxurys . what he earns is used to feed only one mouth" himself" so he thinks he is well to do.

4- SETTLING DOWN
A normal human will always think of getting married after the "third phase". Even if he doesn't want to there would be pressure from his /her parent to settle down.
He finds a spouse for himself, get married and start living happily. They both join their earnings together to feed themselves "Two earnings feeding two mouth"

5- HAVING KIDS
The couples next point of view should be to start having kids. This stage is where the problem start arising.

6-BEGINNING OF RAT RACE
while having kids,the couple will be thinking of getting a larger space to live because their present home cant accomodate the family anymore because of their increase in number. To get a larger apartment, the man needs more income to be able to afford it. He starts grumbling in his work place for an increase in salary. Luckily he gets an increase and he acquire a new apartment within few months.meanwhile he doesn't realize he is just building up a liability column because acquring a new home means a new tv set, new chairs and other home accessories. His children grows from class to class, which means more money needs to be spend.
He still ask for a raise in his salary in order to meet up with his family needs or he looks up for another job and work extra time. "THE RAT RACE".
He is now stuck in the rat race cox the money he has isnt enough for him and he always thinks more money will solve is problem.
To cut it short, the only solution to is problem "rat race" is getting out of the race which is by being financially independent. Like i said earlier, over 80% of humans are stuck in this race.
After reading and assimilating this, you should ask yourself "hiw am i going to get out of this race". The answer is not far fetched.
All you need to do is to be "FINANCIALLY LITERATE" which means being independent, being your own boss.
The government of Nigeria has no plan for we youth, all they know is to strive for their own pocket.
Just try to picture the number of graduates from the whole nigeria per year and relate it to the number of companies we have. We no longer have enough companies to employ people. We all have to think ahead and take a step further to get out of the rat race.
This race occurs in every generation because the advice your parent gives you that made you to be in the rat race, you will also give that same advice to your kids and thats how we all get stuck in the race.
Lets all be wise enough and take a step further in how lives.
